The PV panels are installed in two locations on the roof; East and
West. The Eastern installation has 9 arrays (of 4 panels each) and the
Western installation has 4 arrays.
| This is the Western installation. Surprisingly it
is very close to a tree to the west, but they only affect it after 5 PM
in the Summer, 3 PM in the Winter.
| This is the Eastern installation. The panels
closest in this picture have open coverage most of the day.
| This is a close up of the panels and how close together
they are.
| This panel shows the effect of one weeks worth of
pollen from the redwoods and pines in the area.
| The mounting clips are aluminum extrusions that bolt
into the mounting rail (which is another extrusion).
| This detail view shows how the mounting clip attaches.
| Underneath the panels you can see where the pipe
connects to the mounting rail and the boxes on the back of the panels
are factory sealed with connectorized cords coming out. These
cords are connected together to form an array of 4 panels.
| Here you can see some of the connection boxes all the
way to the end...
| Here's another view of the connections. The green
wire in the foreground is the ground wire. It is connected to the
mounting frames. |
